Please be aware that due to the Bala Triathlon, the A494 will be closed between 09:00 and 15:00 from Bala Leisure Centre to Rhyd y Main (on the Dolgellau side of Llanuwchllyn).
Access from Dolgellau
Limited escorted access to Llanuwchllyn Station will be available via Rhyd y Main:
- For the 11:30 train departure, please arrive at the Rhyd y Main road closure point by 10:55am to join the convoy.
- For the 13:30 train departure, please arrive at Rhyd y Main by 12:55pm.
⚠️ Note: The journey from Dolgellau to Rhyd y Main takes at least 10 minutes.
Access from Bala
Unfortunately, no convoy arrangements are available from the Bala side.
- Please use Bala Station instead, or
- Travel via the B4403 to reach Llanuwchllyn (allow extra time, as this route is likely to be busy).
