We have been advised by the organisers of the Bala Triathlon that the A494 will be closed on Sunday 1st September between 09:00 and 14:00 between the Leisure Centre at Bala, and Rhyd y Main on the Dolgellau side of Llanuwchllyn.
Access to Llanuwchllyn station along the A494 from Dolgellau will be provided at a set time. For the 11:30 departure, please arrive at the road closure point at Rhyd y Main no later than 10:55am where vehicles will be escorted in convoy to Llanuwchllyn. If the road is still closed, for the 13:30 departure, please arrive at the road closure point at Rhyd y Main by 12:55pm.
The organisers have been unable to accept our request to make similar arrangements for traffic from Bala. Please either use Bala station, or use the B4403 to reach Llanuwchllyn. The B4403 is likely to face congestion and you are advised to allow extra time to reach us.
