Purchased in 2025 using funds provided by the Bala Lake Railway Society, the Clayton entered service in February 2026 as a works loco after a full refurbishment and re-gauge from 2' 6" to 2'. The Clayton spent it's working life in the service of the Ministry of Defence where it was known as "Terminator".
