Multi-Trip Rover Tickets FAQ

1 - What does a Multi-Trip Rover ticket entitle me to?

The Rover includes 6 single trips between any two stations on our line, eg a trip from Bala to Llangower will count as 1, as will Bala to Llanuwchllyn. If you use all 6 of your trips, you can buy more for £2 per Adult and £1 per child. Additional trips can be purchased as you go along.

2 - Can I get on any train?

Yes, you can get on any train. You will need to book a space on each train that you wish to travel on using our booking system. Use the link in your rover ticket email, or enter the order number in the discount code box to use your rover ticket to book a space. Alternatively, you ask the guard to book you on to the train you wish to take.

3 - Do I have to choose my trains when I purchase my rover?

No, the rover simply entitles you to travel, it does not reserve seats and you will not be required to choose train times when you purchase your rover ticket.

4 - Can I book trains on the day?

Yes, you can make bookings using your rover at any time after purchase right up to the point that the train you wish to travel on is due to depart, subject to space being available on the train.

5 - What if the train is full?

If the train is full and you have not reserved seats using your rover ticket, then you will not be able to travel. We strongly advise that if there is a specific train you wish to travel on that you book it as soon as possible after purchasing your rover ticket.

6 - Why do I have to book each trip?

Our trains have limited capacity, this ensures that our rover ticket holders can reserve seats on every train they want, at any time, before they are full.

7 - Do we have to travel as a group?

All travellers who purchase their rover tickets as part of the same order are expected to travel together. This keeps things simple when reserving seats for trains, since all you need to do is pick the correct departures. If you wish to split up during the day, please purchase your Rover tickets separately.

8 - Can I buy a Dog Rover?

Yes, you can buy a dog rover for £1, so your dog can accompany you at all times for no further charge.

9 - How do I buy a rover ticket for two or three days

Our booking system isn't able to sell a multi-day ticket as a single order. If you want a two or three day rover, please book a rover ticket for your first day as normal on line and then contact us to add your extra days.

10 - I am a BLRS member, can I claim a discount?

Yes, please contact us to get a discount code.
