Nesta, Hunslet works no. 704

Hunslet 704 Nesta of 1899 has been loaned to us for display by Robert Gambrill. She was unloaded and eased into position and is now on public display in our Heritage centre. Nesta was rescued from a swamp in Puerto Rico and has been in store since her return, her loan for display in our Heritage centre is the first time this locomotive has been seen in public in the UK since she was sold by the Penrhyn quarries for export to the USA in the 1960’s.
